Paul Watson detained in Greenland: Sea Shepherd founder’s lawyers will “take the matter to the United Nations” to denounce “arbitrary” detention

Maître William Julié denounces the political nature and lack of any evidence to support the prosecution of Paul Watson in Japan since 2012, for which he is currently facing extradition from Denmark. At the latest hearing on his detention before the Danish judge, the latter once again decided to extend the measure, a decision expected by the environmental activist’s defense team, but which is nonetheless questionable, particularly in view of the deterioration in Paul Watson’s detention conditions. His legal team continues to fight to rectify the injustice done to Paul Watson, notably by contesting the INTERPOL Red Notice, and a request for political asylum in France addressed to Emmanuel Macron.
