William Julié’s Law Firm is heading various new initiatives in the field of INTERPOL RED NOTICES and SCHENGEN ALERTS

William Julié’s Law Firm is heading various new initiatives in the field of INTERPOL Red Notices and SCHENGEN alerts. Many people are suffering from these two reporting and flagging systems (INTERPOL and SIS), and are seeking ways to have the alerts retrieved.  A significant number of cases involve people  who have fought extradition successfully but remain deprived of the right to travel freely (within or outside the U.E). This is not acceptable and applications need to be systematically filed in to challenge the related alerts at INTERPOL and SCHENGEN levels. Another unacceptable situation is that of people who are not fugitives, and who reside in identified countries to which no extradition request is sent, whilst Red Notices stay active at INTERPOL or European levels. These alerts also must be immediately retrieved. William Julié’s Law Firm wishes to address an open letter to INTERPOL’s and UE governing bodies expressing the concerns of criminal lawyers and academics worldwide regarding the functioning of this organisation, its lack of transparency and relaying suggestions to improve its constitution. The ultimate goal is the creation of a court of justice specialised in INTERPOL red notices, composed of independent judges, who would respect the rule of law and ensure people’s fundamental rights. William Julié’s Law Firm also wishes to engage in a discussion with the UE governmental bodies in order to obtain that alerts are taken out of the SCHENGEN Information System (SIS) pursuant to a refusal to extradite from a member state.
